Neighborhood Safety is A Team Effort

While we are a very safe neighborhood, we have made efforts to improve on our safety in the 4th Addition.

 

In 2020 The Oakbrook 4th Addition partnered with our local Lakewood Community Service Officer via Zoom calls and initiated a Neighborhood Watch Program. We report all suspicious activity to the Lakewood Police Department through channels that do not overwhelm the emergency line. The program is ongoing and accepting volunteers.

Having a walkable neighborhood is another safety priority. We are working the City of Lakewood to initiate a road tube study and identify high traffic/ speed areas. Once identified, we can begin to put in new safety protocols.

In 2019 the Emergency Preparedness Program was started and put on pause for 2020. This program will now resume in 2021. The goal is to keep our neighborhood informed, responsive, stocked and connected during an emergency.
