2022 Phillips Road Sidewalk Project

Phillips Rd. SW Sidewalk – Agate Dr. SW to Onyx Dr. SW

This project provides a sidewalk, curb, gutter, and bike lane on the West-side only of Phillips Rd. SW. This project completes the west-side sidewalk between Agate Dr. SW to Onyx Dr. SW.

Running along a scenic wildlife preserve and leading to and from a middle school, Phillips Road is a top priority to improve accessibility. Students and park visitors will enjoy safe, smooth walks and bike rides once this project concludes.

Letters have been sent by the City of Lakewood to affected property owners that describe improvements to the right-of-way in front and back of homes.

The environmental document has been prepared and will be posted for public review soon on the City of Lakewood's website.

Project Manager D’Andra Buchanan observed this pedestrian using a walker in the shoulder along Phillips Road – a prime example of the vital importance of planned sidewalk construction occurring throughout Lakewood.
