Oakbrook Golf Course:

 

Built in 1966, Oakbrook Golf Club features hundreds of oak trees and immaculate turf conditions. In 2012, Oakbrook opened its doors to the public after 56 years of private operations.

South Puget Sound Wildlife Area

This 100-acre open space area is managed by the state Department of Fish and Wildlife and offers a trail system for walking and bicycling. Located at Phillips Road SW.

Chambers Creek Trail

Future trail heads – Phillips Rd. & Zircon Dr.

Chambers Creek Regional Park is a 930-acre site with over 2 miles of saltwater shoreline, 2.5 miles of urban creek and canyon, and breathtaking mountain and Puget Sound views. The park includes an award-winning Environmental Services Building. Pierce County entered into an Interlocal Agreement with the cities of University Place and Lakewood to jointly plan and develop the Chambers Creek Trail.

Fort Steilacoom Park & Waughop Lake Trail

Waughop Lake Trail loops Waughop Lake in the heart of our 340-acre Fort Steilacoom Park. Paved and expanded in 2017, the nearly 1-mile trail features lake views and is ideal for strollers, bicycles and all skill levels. Located at 8714 87th Ave SW.

The trail is primarily used for walking, nature trips, and birding and is accessible year-round. There are many benches along the walking path around the lake, two docks and Discovery Trail educational signs detailing the history of the location. Dogs are allowed but must be kept on leash.

Fort Steilacoom also features a dog park and small dog park.

Fort Steilacoom is the largest park in Lakewood and has multiple trail systems.
